Capoeira is hard. Like, doable, obviously, but it’s difficult especially at first because you have to get used to a bunch of things going on at once- music playing, singing, you never stop moving, doing the movements- it’s a lot.

1. Read something- other than tumblr..
2. Go to yoga more.
3. Drink water, dammit!
4. Follow marathon training as closely as humanly possible.
5. Use the elliptical more often, try for 1x a week minimum?
6. Maintain the no fast food rule (it’s been 3 months, but I still put it because I feel like I’ll break it if I don’t)

my workout: not long at all- 12 minutes. Took me like an hour, because I kept getting distracted having to do stuff for the family, but all in all it made me break a sweat- and I could do more, but I should probably shower and get dressed and have family time and stuff.

Yes, I eat. A lot. And you know what? It’s because I CAN, and I SHOULD eat. Just because they eat 500 calories a day doesn’t mean I will. I like my body functioning well, thank you.

December Goals Revisited...
So as far as December goals go, didn’t do as well as I’d hoped. I think I set the bar just a wee bit too high..
-See the lower end of the 140s, MAYBE a glimpse of the 130s?? Ish? I got to see 145..
-Stay on schedule with marathon training I only missed like 2 days, shortened one, and did an extra 12 mile run. So I think it works out :)
-Run 10 miles! Got to 12!
-Attend at least 4...

Holy crapola.
So I just finished this workout.
I saw the title, “Suicidal Sweat Workout”, and HAD to try it. I’m drenched in sweat right now. Attractive, right?
Only cool thing about working out at home- no shirt required! Haha.
This was the workout. It’s a high intensity interval workout, and you’re supposed to time each “combo”:

The workouts I’ve done have been a capoeira conditioning video that i found on youtube (it was from like the 80s, but it made me break a sweat and I felt good doing it, it was about 40 minutes long, and I almost did a side split!!!! I’m the queen of inflexible, so for me to even come close was super exciting.
I also did this quick video by Bob Harper, the workout was only like 3...

My car’s already completely covered in snow and it’s been snowing for half an hour. If I had a better car I’d tough it out, but I have an old, not very reliable Buick with a less than safe brake system. I’m gonna have to resort to like, the tv fitness channel or something.
Any suggestions for at home cardio with no cardio machines?

I decided to run naked today.
Haha. And by naked, I mean without any music. Partially because I lost one of the cool earbud attachments for my headphones, and partially for my safety because it was getting dark, but mostly to see if I can do it, since the only time I’ve ever done it was in cross country in high school and my first turkey trot in November.
I ran a 5k. It wasn’t bad, my music has stopped affecting...

Dear exercise, I missed you.
Yes, it was only 3 days. But considering I hadn’t taken that long off exercise since around October 19th, It was a big deal. I was so excited to get back to doing it, I woke up at SEVEN this morning to go.
Might I add, my family’s pretty annoying about this. They complain every day how I sleep in til like 11, and I get up before 10 and I get the third degree about why I’m awake....

This was expected. Though actually I’m really surprised it wasn’t more, since I hadn’t worked out in 3 days. It’s not holiday weight because I lost weight the day after Christmas, but not bad. Hopefully I’ll be off this plateau by next week..

I'm contemplating doing the 30DS.
I’ve had the dvd since it came out, but I never did it more than 3 days in a row. So I don’t know. Gonna think about it a bit more before I make a final decision. I mean, it’s only 20 minutes a day, so it doesn’t take long.

So I just spent the last 5,10 minutes looking at myself shirtless. And you know what? I’m actually completely happy with what I see. Yeah, I think I still need to lose weight, but I think I look pretty damn hot.

Didn’t expect to see that number the day after Christmas. Especially after my cake debacle on Christmas Eve. Guess that ten mile run yesterday helped. :)
