Unpopular opinion?
I hope you guys don’t get mad, but I don’t understand everyone’s fascination with Adele. People act like it’s the first time they’ve ever heard anyone sing before.
She’s alright, I mean, I liked “Rolling in the Deep”, but I think I will hurt someone if I have to hear “Someone Like You” on the radio one more time. Especially when it’s on two stations at once.
So can someone explain why people love her so much?

yeah, I’m with you, I mean she’s okay, she’s no Christina or Beyonce vocally, and her whole image is pretty obnoxious, the way her size is supposed to be “saving womankind” is totally superficial. find her music kinda boring on the whole.

I hated her a year ago - so depressing, especially going through a breakup. But her voice and lyrics are just spot on. Captured my feelings.

Cause she’s real, she doesn’t need to create a shocking image to get people’s attention or hide a lack of talent. Her music is enough.

We are the same. She has a nice voice and all, but when they repeat it over and over and over and overrrrrrr it drives me crazy.

Just her raw talent. Current music lacks the talent and vocal range she has. Its just not common any more. Now music is based on shocking the audience with what they say and wear, not on having talent.

I agree that she’s been totally overexposed. I put the interest down to mega-corp dominated bland radio that play crap auto-tuned artists day in day out, so there are very few real voices heard out there.

I couldn’t answer that for you. I personally can’t stand her. I can’t stand her voice. I can’t stand that she’s on the radio ever 2 secs.

she’s got some serious pipes! kind of raspy, full of soul, ful of passion. it’s not often you hear raw talent like hers in our generation.

To me she is the more soulful version of Taylor Swift. i mean I appreciate her vocals but I find the whole schtick uninteresting

I’m the same, I think they overplayed it lol but I think bc her voice is really different/unique and she has a lot of passion in her voice

She sings sad songs girls want to hear/can relate to. She’s not stick thin, which gives her extra super powers since most of America is fat.
