A puzzle I’ve been trying to figure out.
Why have I been feeling like crap all day.
Stomach’s been hurting to the point that I just want to curl up in a ball.
Grey’s Anatomy keeps making me want to cry.
My face is breaking out.
Then I realized- yep. Mother whatever is on it’s way. When was the last time I got a visit? Hmmm..probably sometime last AUGUST. So this is annoying. And not supposed to happen. But of COURSE. My doctor, that I already have to drive 20 miles to go see, doesn’t work on my only day off and is only ever available when I’m in school. So I don’t have an appointment to see him until NEXT Monday, which is funny, because he does absolutely nothing related to my getting my shot. He comes in for 5 seconds, and the nurses do the rest. So fucking ridiculous.
So if I come off as particularly emotional over the next few days..there you go. Bleh. This always makes me feel like I’m going to throw up.
Doctor used Steroids! It was super effective!
That’s what just went through my head as I was looking at my now starting to fade rash.
Sounds like Pokemon, right? That was the intention.
I’m a nerd.
Moxy is a genius.
Looked up Urgent Care centers around my house and there was one right by my house. Already in, talked to the doctor.
Unfortunately, he doesn’t know what the rash is since it doesn’t itch. He’s prescribing me some steroids and giving me a referral to a dermatologist.
Muahahaha.
Boys always text me when I’m like, “I’m not gonna text him first anymore.” it works. Mostly.
Anyway, gonna go to crossfit soon, then going to the ER to get the rash checked out because getting an appointment with my general practitioner is damn near impossible and the rash just keeps increasing surface area. And it costs just 8 dollars more for the ER, so I figure it’ll just be time consuming, but for 15 bucks not bad at all.
Yay for community health care?
Not really sure what my health program is called. But I just showed up to get my birth control shot (warning: I get emotional the week after I get the shot so if I get particularly upset it probably just hormones), asked about STD testing since I had no idea what the procedure was, and for 21 dollars they do all the major tests. I didn’t have 21 dollars but I paid for one of the tests. SO MUCH CHEAPER THAN SCHOOL AND PLANNED PARENTHOOD (the PP here in my town doesn’t use the sliding scale for payments). At school it would have been like at least 80 dollars, and at PP it was like well over 100 (that’s including the girly exam that I don’t want to get).
So yeah.
Also, I’m starting to follow the New Rules of Lifting for Women! I got the book yesterday and I love it so far!
I particularly love how much food they want you to eat, and the recipes are actually doable! Every book I get that’s been like this requires a shit ton of money for food but most of the recipes I already have a lot of the ingredients! And you don’t have to use the recipes but I like them.
After work I’m gonna do the first workout!
Finally heard back from the doctor’s office.
She said my liver function thing was high. Not like super high, but like, on the cusp of normal and high. She asked if I had drank recently before the test (remember, this was BEFORE Saturday’s day of drinking), I hadn’t though, so I dunno. She said it could be a number of things but to check back in a few months to see if everything was okay. I’m getting the paper with the information later.
So yeah, for the most part she said everything was awesome. Glad to have figured out what was wrong.
Just heard back from the doctor’s office.
About my labs from Friday.
Apparently some things “have risen red flags”, but the lady who called didn’t have the authorization to tell me what it was so I have to wait for Thursday so the nurse practitioner could tell me.
So I’m a little nervous, especially cause she said it was multiple things.
Well, that was cool. NSV?
So I went to the doctor’s so they could check out my circulation problems and run some blood test. They said I was “super healthy”.
My vitals:
Blood pressure: 101/70
Body temp: 98.3 (in fahrenheit)
And the best part. When they checked my heart rate they said they knew I was an athlete.
Resting heart rate: 53! I was looking at a chart and it said that athletic RHR was 54-something. Mine is below!
Overall they said I was fine, that the circulation thing wasn’t anything to be concerned about. they took some blood to make sure everything is good.
“if it comes out positive you know we can’t give it to you right?”
My doctor on administering my birth control shot.
Well, duh.
I’m like a week late in getting my shot, because he doesn’t work Fridays and all my classes are typically at 8 or earlier. Today was my “late” day because I start at 9:25, so they scheduled me for 7:45. So sad.
At least the doctor scale shows weight loss finally. Even with my having eaten already. And my blood pressure was 107 over.. I dunno. It could have been 50ish. I don’t know if that’s low or not.
And tomorrow I get another shot, for the HPV shot. My school was offering it for free and it just so happens that I just need my third shot!
And then next week a person gets to investigate my lady bits maybe. Not in the good way, the doctor way. Haha. I’ve never gone to one of those girl appointments so I guess we’ll see. I’m kinda really nervous about it just because it’s scary.
