Go Becky Go

I'm Becky, 23 year old Florida native living in Colorado. Marathon runner trying to get back into running, I also do capoeira on occasion and like to go on adventures sometimes. I'm a certified EMT (but still trying to get a job as one). I like to lift, and am currently working on "getting back on the wagon" for weight loss. I originally started this blog and lost 25 pounds and kept it off for a long time, then life happened and I'm up higher than my original starting weight.. I am pretty ambitious and am signed up for some races this year to boost my motivation, including a half that goes up a 14er, and a 50k in the mountains.

This is not a weight loss blog, it's my blog and I talk about whatever I want including weight loss and food and boys and running and drinking and lots of pictures of myself. I have little to no filter when it comes to the things I say, I am kinda opinionated, so sometimes I'm awkward, but I'm pretty awesome.

Height: 5'1"
HW: 174 lbs
LW: 142 lbs (Sept/2011)

Goal: to run fast and be healthy.

I love talking to new people, so if you have any questions just ask!

So…I’m not really a Chris Brown fan. But this song. Just makes me want to dance. All day.

Also it’s a great song to do squats to, not really sure why but it works.

So apparently the Space Jam theme and Gangnam Style match up perfectly, right down to the same BPM and key. Yes, this is mind-altering.

OH MY GOD YES YES YES

Hahaha YES.

Just got home from being at an LMFAO concert in Denver. Far East Movement was there, as was Quest Crew. They were AWESOME.

I was a big girl and went by myself because no one wanted to go with me, and I had the time of my life. My ears are ringing, my voice is gone, my legs are killing me. So. Much. Fun.

And, I made it from Red Rocks in Golden in 50 minutes to my house, google’s estimated time was an hour and a half. Ha. My mom didn’t believe me when I said I was home already.

I hope you guys don’t get mad, but I don’t understand everyone’s fascination with Adele. People act like it’s the first time they’ve ever heard anyone sing before.

She’s alright, I mean, I liked “Rolling in the Deep”, but I think I will hurt someone if I have to hear “Someone Like You” on the radio one more time. Especially when it’s on two stations at once.

So can someone explain why people love her so much?

What is this beautiful sound.
Oh man. I’ve loved every version of “Such Great Heights” that I’ve heard. But this is like, really, really awesome. Who would’ve thought I’d like a quartet playing this? Certainly not me. But truly beautiful.
Good job, Pandora.

“I listen to a lot of smaller bands that not a lot of people have heard of, Becky. Bands like Simple Plan.”

Sweetheart, I was listening to Simple Plan when I was YOUR age.

I’ve been procrastinating on going on my run, I decided to go through my iPhone and delete the music I don’t listen to because I’m tired of hitting skip when I put all my songs on shuffle. And I added some songs too.

This is my playlist for today’s run. I’m gonna try for ten miles. Wish me luck!

my face right now lol I remember the first time this song came out…I was 14 and my parents were in the car while it was playing rofl awkward as balls

Just played yesterday while running and enjoyed every second, lol.

This totally played Wednesday night at this country club I went to. On my request. It was beautiful.

@doingtheneedful- JUST FOR YOU SEAN. JUST FOR YOU. I once heard this thing on NPR that the best way to get a song out of your head is to get it stuck in someone else’s. Not scientifically proven, but worked for me!
YOU LIKE TO…MOVE IT!
@mariatatuada you’re a genius. That’s the perfect dance for that. I was dancing to the song and it looked like a (even more) ridiculous version of the fork in the garbage disposal dance. Like, I don’t think I could ever be out in a public place and be given any kind of party drug because if I dance this way sober.. Can’t imagine on drugs.

EVERY DAY I’M SHUFFLING.

HAHAHAHAHA. NOPE. BECAUSE EVERYDAY I WAS SHUFFLING. RIGHT BEFORE I LIKED TO MOVE IT. For real. I wore myself down shuffling and moving it. And before I shuffled, I was sexy and I knew it. Those 3 songs plus “Lose Control” by Missy Elliot. On repeat. All I listened to. MUAHAHAHAHA

TELL ME MORE TELL ME MORE LIKE DOES HE HAVE A CAR?

What do I do when I feel down about myself alone in my room when my roommates are home? Put in my headphones, my favorite sweatpants an my favorite tanktop and my glasses that make me look like another person while listening to the Grease soundtrack station on Pandora, of course!

The Disney music station. Now it’s playing music from Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. Love it. On a roll with this studying. Gonna keep going and strike while the iron is hot (aka my brain is focused)!

At work.

I feel like that’s one of the safer stations to not worry about inappropriate stuff!

Listening to “I See the Light” from Tangled. I love that movie.

Oh, now it’s Mulan!!

I heart Disney no matter that I saw a documentary on how evil it is!
